Troubleshooting Tip |
|
(1) No Image
 |
Insert the cable into the UHF/VHF terminal
 |
Step 1: Please connect the 5C/2V cable to the AV
terminal. (You
may need a RCA Male to F Female Adaptor)

Step 2: Switch the TV in VIDEO mode by remoter.
 |
|
(2)Blur image |
Lens was not in focus. |
Please let the lens be in focus. Please refer to
here for
detail. |
|
(3)Blur image after using camera for several months.
 |
Lens or housing were covered with dust. |
Please clean the lens or housing, and
you will get the clear image.
  |
|
(4)Deranged image |
CCTV Balun +/- mistake. |
Please reconfirm the CCTV Balun +/- terminal, and
make the + terminal to the other + terminal, - terminal to the obher -
terminal. Comment: Do not install the signal
cable near the power cable, or you will get the distorted image easily.

|
(5)Horizontal white or black noise.
 |
A. Undervoltage, caused by:
1. Wrong voltage adaptor.
2.The adaptor was overloaded with the camera.
3. The adaptor was going to break down.
4. The AC power was unstable.
B. May be signal unbalanced.
C. Electric leakage. |
Step 1: Please check the adaptor, and make sure the
voltage is right. ( For example, using the adaptor with input AC 220V,
but insert into the AC 110V socket. Or the adaptor was output DC 9V, but
the camera was DC 12V type.
Step 2: Please check the adaptor if it was overload.
(For example: Using the adaptor with output current 100mA, but the
camera needs 500mA. Or using multi-camera with one adaptor.)
Step 3: If it it normal after you try the Step 1 and
Step 2. Please try another adaptor for the camera.
(Please using the adaptor with the regular voltage.)
Step 4: Please check the AC power. If the adaptor was
input AC 220V, then the AC power must be AC 220V.
Step 5: If you check the Step 1~4, but the noise still
exist. Please connect the camera to the monitor directly, then check the
monitor. If the image was normal, it should be signal unbalanced
problem. You can try the
Coaxial Balun.
Step 6: This problem may be electric leakage. You can try
the
Coaxial Video Ground Loop Isolator or
Coaxial Video Ground Loop Isolator built in VideoBalun.

(6)Color is not perfect.
 |
1. May be problem is caused by camera,
capture card, or monitor.
2.The settings of DVR, capture card,
or monitor are not correct.
3. This may be signal defect problem. |
Step 1: Please adjust the color, hue,
or contrast of the DVR or capture card until the color is correct.
Step 2: If you adjust the settings of
DVR or capture card, but the color is still not perfect. You should try
to tune the settings of monitor.
Step 3: If you tried the mentions
above, but the color was still not normal. And it may be a signal defect
problem. Please refer to next section for detail.
Step 4: If you tried the Step 1~4, but
the color was still not perfect. You may change the DVR, capture card or
monitor.
Comment a: There were some
quality-difference between DVRs or capture card.
Comment b: It is usually that CCD in
Sony chip has better color than CCD in Sharp chip. |
|
(7)Multi-black-horizontal-line on the
screen.
(8)The image was black/white when using the color camera. (Or the hue of
image was not good enough.)
(9)The image on the screen was not stable, and moved up
and down.
 |
This should be a signal defect problem
caused by :
1. The quality of cable was not good.
2. Bad contact.
3. The length of cable was too long and
made the signal defect problem.
4.Using wrong distributor. |
Step 1: Please use the 5C/2V coaxial
cable, and do not use the AV cable.
Step 2: Please check the contact of
cameras, DVRs, and make sure that the contacts between cable, camera or
cable, DVR are contact perfectly.
Step 3: If the length of cable was more
than 300 meters, you should try the
amplifier
products.
Step 4: When you want to distribute the
signal of camera to multi-monitors, please use the
distributor with
power, or use the amplifier between the camera and monitor. |
|
(10)The image on the screen was not stable, and moved up
and down. |
If the image moved up and down was not
a signal defect problem, this might be a coaxial unbalance problem. |
There some different intensity of
signal transmit by cameras will transmit into the DVR when the cables
between cameras and DVR have different length. And it usually makes a
coaxial unbalance problem. If you have the same lengths
between cameras and DVR, but there was still a coaxial unbalance
problem. You may check the quality of cables. (Do not use a AV cable.)
Step 1: Remove the cable from DVR
which different to other channels, and check the image on the screen. If
it become normal when you remove the cable. And you should reduce the
intensity of signal if this channel has a over intensity, or try the
amplifier if
this channel has a signal defect problem.

(11)Horizental wave, Twill wave, Noise
wave

(The bottom picture has the most noise.) |
This should be an interference
problem:
1. The wireless camera is spoilt by
interference from other noise.
2. Interference from high frequency noise, motor noise, electromagnetic
wave.
3. The quality of cable is not good.
4. Bad contact problem of coaxial cable
terminal or CCTV Balun +/- terminal.
5. The adaptor is going to break down.
6. The adaptor do not have a regular
voltage output.
7. The adaptor do not have enough power.
8. The terminal of cable has bad contact.
9. Electric leakage. |
Precaution: We suggested that using
the 5C/2V cable for CCTV system. Specially the CCTV system was near the
pylon, substation, wireless transmitter, etc. Using the better quality
of cable the better. Step 1: If
you used a wireless camera, please reduced the distance between
transmitter and receiver. Or used the cable replaced the wireless
transmission. Step 2: Remove the
interference source from the camera, DVR, cable, or monitor. Or you
could use the
Hi Frequency Interference Blocker.
Step 3: Please check the cable if it
is used for a long time. And you should re-install the new cable replace
the old one. Step 4: Check every
contacts, and make sure there is no short circuit between + / -
terminal. ( It usually occur while using CCTV Balun)
Step 5: Please try the
Hi
Frequency Interference Blocker or
Coaxial Balun. Step 6: If
the CCTV system installed in the provisional construction or used the AC
power by dynamo. The voltage or frequency of AC power might be unstable.
We suggested that you could try the
Hi
Frequency Interference Blocker or
Coaxial Balun.
Step 7: Please check that if you used a
regular adaptor. If you used a non-regular adaptor, please changed it.
Step 8: Please check every contact in the
CCTV system. Do not expose the metal shield of coaxial cable to
environment, or you will get more noise. Or you can try the
Hi
Frequency Interference Blocker.
Step 9: Check if there is an electric
leakage. (Grounding correctly could prevent electric leakage.) Or you
can try
Coaxial Video Ground Loop Isolator or
Coaxial Video Ground Loop Isolator built in VideoBalun.

(12)The image was black / white
when used a color camera, and there were coarse black line in the image.
 |
Mismatch of TV format. (NTSC / PAL) |
The TV format could be classified
according to NTSC, PAL. For example, the TV format in Taiwan is NTSC,
and PAL in Europe. If your camera was NTSC, but it connected to the DVR
in PAL type. It will make this problem. You should try to switch the TV
format correctly. But some DVR could not be switched from different TV
format, and you should assign the correct TV format before you order
CCTV products.
Please refer to
comment 1 for detail. |

1.Light was not uniform.
2.The center was too
bright than side.
 |
Mistake 1: The view of camera was not
correct.
|
Do not shoot the bright and dark
object in the same image, or you will get this problem.
|
|
Mistake 2: The view angle of camera
was not match the angle of IR light. |
The view angle of camera should match
the angle of IR light. For example, if you used 4mm lens for the camera,
and you should try the 75 degree of IR light. |
|
(14)Light was not uniform.
 |
Back-lighted problem. |
Suggestion:
1. Please avoid to shoot indoor and
outdoor at the same time. 2.Do
not shoot the white object or high reflectional object in the dark
place. Or you should make it brighter in this place.
